Definition

Head of the Legal department is responsible for assisting HR in dealing with matters related to recruitment and employment contracts. Definition

CLOs typically report directly to the chief executive officer (CEO).

The roles

The CLOs are responsible for leading the legal department, supervising legal activities to ensure the goals of the business. They are also strategic decision-makers, and consultants, giving useful legal advice to the CEO, helping businesses avoid legal troubles.

This senior position always updates the law amendment and participates in drawing up legislation. Maybe they will not directly draft legal documents but will be the final approvers.
