Job Description

Navigos Search's client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to strengthen our product management function and shape strategic initiatives. This role is centered on enhancing team capabilities, guiding and coaching team members, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and product strategies. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who can inspire the team, foster collaboration across international locations, and elevate the standards of product management.

Main Responsibilities:
- Champion the expansion and standardization of product management practices across international offices.
- Define and implement global strategies for product management.
- Continuously evaluate the impact of these strategies and refine them when needed.
- Lead the local Product Management division (~20 members)
- Provide direction and mentorship to Product Owners and IT communicators.
- Manage performance, growth, and engagement of team members.
- Work closely with headquarters’ product managers to deliver world-class products.
- Design, organize, and implement training programs to develop local Product Management professionals.

Job Requirements

- Solid track record in product management within the software/tech sector.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills, with proven ability to handle diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in start-up, scale-up, or fast-paced environments; ideally with hands-on involvement from the early stage.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams with 10 members.
- Advanced proficiency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing for business use).
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues from different countries and backgrounds.
- Structured, logical approach to problem-solving and explaining concepts.
- Willingness to engage and motivate stakeholders, while embracing challenges with optimism.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change, able to adjust plans accordingly.
- Collaborative, people-oriented mindset aligned with an empathetic and inclusive workplace.
