Job Description
The role is responsible for leading the QC Measuring Group in implementing and executing measurement protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. This role focuses on utilizing advanced measurement technologies, guiding team members in best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the quality assurance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supervise and mentor a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance on measurement techniques and best practices.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills in using measurement equipment and interpreting results.
• Oversee the measurement and inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Ensure accurate execution of measurement protocols and adherence to quality standards.
• Collect and analyze measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the QC Manager to prepare reports on measurement results and quality performance metrics.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on measurement processes and methodologies.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process enhancements to improve measurement accuracy and efficiency.
• Work closely with other departments, such as production and engineering, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements related to measurement accuracy.
• Maintain detailed documentation of measurement procedures, results, and corrective actions taken.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of experience in quality management roles, with a strong focus on measurement techniques.
• Proficient in advanced measurement technologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret measurement data and provide actionable insights.
• Familiarity with injection molding processes and materials is a plus.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
