Job Description
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute integrated email and SMS marketing strategies through Klaviyo to meet business goals, such as boosting customer retention and revenue growth.
- Plan, schedule, and launch email and SMS campaigns, including newsletters, promotional offers, new product introductions, and time-limited sales.
- Enhance email and SMS templates for optimal display across mobile devices and improved user engagement.
- Collaborate with content, design, and product teams to create compelling campaigns that reflect the brand's tone and visual style.
Database Segmentation & Management
- Develop and maintain a strong subscriber database while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other relevant laws.
- Create targeted segments in Klaviyo based on customer behavior, demographics, past purchases, and engagement for both email and SMS communications.
- Implement strategies for lead generation and subscriber opt-in to grow the email and SMS lists.
Email & SMS Automation & Flow Optimization
- Set up, track, and optimize automated workflows in Klaviyo, including:
Welcome series (integrated email and SMS)
Abandoned cart recovery
Browse abandonment
Post-purchase upselling and cross-selling
Re-engagement campaigns
- Utilize Klaviyo's SMS features to create immediate, text-based campaigns for urgent promotions, order updates, and personalized offers.
- Use A/B testing for optimizing subject lines, SMS content, email layouts, and campaign strategies to improve overall performance.
SMS-Specific Responsibilities
- Create concise, compelling, and action-driven SMS messages tailored to specific audience segments.
- Incorporate SMS into broader marketing campaigns to ensure a seamless cross-channel customer experience.
- Track SMS campaign metrics, such as delivery success, opt-out rates, click-through rates, and return on investment (ROI).
- Ensure compliance with SMS marketing regulations, including TCPA and local opt-in/opt-out policies.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, revenue per email/SMS, and unsubscribe/opt-out rates.
- Perform in-depth analysis of campaign data to uncover trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for scaling.
- Deliver comprehensive reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Tools & Best Practices
- Stay current on new features, marketing trends, and best practices for email and SMS marketing within Klaviyo.
- Ensure all campaigns comply with legal standards and maintain brand consistency.
- Continuously enhance campaign performance by exploring advanced Klaviyo functionalities, such as SMS automation, audience retargeting, and predictive segmentation.
Job Requirements
Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in email and SMS marketing, particularly in the e-commerce industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing and improving email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo.
- Expertise in customer segmentation, database management, and creating automated workflows for both email and SMS.
Skills
- Advanced expertise in Klaviyo for campaign management, audience segmentation, and workflow automation.
- In-depth understanding of e-commerce marketing metrics and strategies to optimize them.
- Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS for customizing email templates (a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Klaviyo analytics and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially for crafting clear, engaging SMS content.
