Deputy Head of Investment

Our client is a leading multi-sector investment group in Vietnam, with over 20 years of development in key areas such as industrial development, renewable energy, and mining.

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate for the position of Deputy Head of Investment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Advisory Role for the Head of Department and CEO on Investment Activities
• Provide strategic advisory support to the Head of Department and CEO in investment-related matters, particularly in sectors such as industrial energy, mining, ports, and logistics infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development of short-, medium-, and long-term investment strategies, including investment planning, project scale, and policies related to investment activities.
• Support the Investment Council in assessing and approving the feasibility of projects proposed
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives.

2. Management and Execution of Investment Activities
• Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities, especially those aligned with the Group’s existing business operations.
• Conduct market research and analysis, gathering and interpreting data relevant to the investment landscape and regulatory environment.
• Manage the company’s investment portfolio.
• Organize investment performance evaluations for various projects, including bidding, auctions, and M&A deals.
• Assess legal documentation, project locations, market conditions, operational status, and financial performance of investment projects; conduct in-depth due diligence and asset valuation.
• Directly engage with institutional and individual partners that meet the approved investment criteria.

3. Monitoring and Inspection of Project Implementation
• Monitor and oversee compliance with procedures related to planning, project proposals, bidding/auction processes for land-use projects, land valuation, investment approval, land allocation, site clearance, and issuance of land-use rights.
• Ensure project documentation and legal procedures (e.g., design files, cost estimates) comply
with current regulations and practical implementation.
• Track and inspect project execution, including design, contractor selection, payments, and investment management.

4. Other Tasks
• Coordinate with the Head of Department to liaise with relevant government agencies and authorities.
• Support procedures and paperwork related to investment projects where the Group acts as the investor or co-investor.
