Finance Controller (Infrastructure | Energy)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Payment and Document Control
• Verify and reconcile payment documents (invoices, receipts, contracts, etc.) to ensure reasonableness, validity, completeness and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely payments to suppliers, partners, and employees as per contractual terms.
Bank Transactions
• Handle bank-related activities such as loans, guarantees, and other financial services.
• Execute fund transfers and payments through banking systems as required.
• Ensure all bank transactions are processed accurately, maintaining proper documentation for auditing purposes.
Financial Reporting
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and other relevant regulations. The financial statements will be prepared by outsourced accounting service providers.
• Review and ensure that all general ledger entries are accurate, timely, and supported by appropriate documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of periodically tax filing (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) in compliance with Philippine tax laws. The tax preparation and declaration will be performed by outsourced service providers.
• Coordinate with tax authorities as needed.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
Audit and External Relations
• Lead the coordination with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
• Maintain a positive relationship with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Internal Controls and Compliance
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial processes to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
Cash Flow Management
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company has sufficient funds to meet operational and strategic needs.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring effective cash management practices.
• Manage working capital and optimize the company's liquidity.
Budgeting and Forecasting
• Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to address discrepancies.
• Prepare forecasts and long-term financial projections to ensure alignment with company goals.
Administrative Management
• Manage administrative tasks, including documentation and records related to company operations.
• Work with other departments to ensure efficient execution of administrative activities.
Payroll and Insurance Management
• Handle payroll calculations, payments, and social insurance declarations as per local regulations.
• Ensure timely compliance with all statutory employee-related filings and payments.
