Finance Controller cum Chief Accountant

Role Purpose:
• To analyze and budget financial data, produce management reports, and act as a business partner to support strategic decision-making.
• To enhance the internal control environment and coordinate with the regional team on accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• To serve as the Chief Accountant for two legal entities in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounting and Reporting:
o Collaborate with the regional team for accounting tasks, ensuring accurate booking, month-end closing, reporting, and tax filing.
o Organize the accurate and timely recording of all assets and analyze the company's financial performance.
o Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax regulations, and legal requirements.
o Develop reporting standards and templates to align with Vietnamese Accounting Standards and company policies.
o Coordinate with the regional team to submit timely accounting, statistical, and settlement reports.
• Financial Analysis and Control:
o Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, providing financial insights to sales and operations teams.
o Control financial performance against budget, implementing cost reduction strategies.
o Support investment planning through business case analysis.
o Manage the company's budgeting activities.
o Handle settlement of discrepancies, bad debts, and other financial losses.
• Internal Control and Compliance:
o Establish and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures with robust internal controls.
o Conduct inventory and asset assessments, identifying and addressing financial management violations.
o Control economic and principal contracts to protect the company's interests.
o Maintain secure storage of accounting documents and confidential data.
o Ensure compliance with information confidentiality regulations.
o Manage audits, bank relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Team Management and Development:
o Supervise and develop local finance team members and collaborate with the regional accounting team.
o Support IT related works.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain a comprehensive accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely data recording.
• Oversee all financial and accounting functions, including daily operations, financial reporting, payments, forecasting, and tax matters.
• Ensure that the company is following all local and international accounting rules.
• Provide training for the protection of confidential information.
