Customs Manager, Chinese speaking (EPE)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customs Declaration Management:
o Lead and manage the customs declaration process for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
o Handle customs clearance for raw materials, machinery, consumables, hazardous materials, and other related goods.
o Ensure accurate classification and timely submission of customs documentation to avoid delays and penalties.
2. Process Optimization:
o Establish, optimize, and standardize customs declaration procedures for the factory.
o Continuously review and improve the customs processes to ensure maximum efficiency and cost savings.
o Work closely with internal teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, and finance) to streamline customs workflows and ensure smooth operations.
3. System Management:
o Utilize Customs systems, SAP, and OA systems to track, monitor, and manage customs processes.
o Oversee the implementation of these systems in relation to customs clearance and ensure proper integration with other enterprise systems.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
o Stay up to date with changes in customs laws, regulations, and policies.
o Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations to minimize customs-related risks and penalties.
o Communicate regulatory changes to relevant departments and adjust procedures accordingly.
5. Team Collaboration & Training:
o Work closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure proper documentation and timely clearance.
o Provide training and guidance to staff on customs procedures and regulations.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities and external service providers.
6. Problem Solving & Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks in customs operations and develop mitigation strategies.
o Resolve any customs-related issues or disputes, including working with customs authorities to ensure proper clearance.
