The Cluster Legal Manager will provide comprehensive legal support across select countries in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, focusing on all legal matters that impact business operations. This role is designed to proactively advise the SEA Cluster Business, ensuring compliance with applicable laws while effectively managing legal risks to achieve corporate objectives.
Key Objectives
1. Address potential legal and regulatory issues related to: Products, Commercial contracts, Taxation, Information Technology (IT), Employment law, Economic sanctions
2. Manage dispute resolution effectively.
3. Ensure local teams receive training on relevant legal matters, including adherence to company policies.
4. Assist operational teams in developing commercial plans that minimize risks and maximize competitive advantages.
Responsibilities
• Actively participate in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents, providing support for business and factory operations in areas such as: Employment, IT, Advertising, Labelling, Consumer protection, Sanctions, Health and safety
• Collaborate with all functions across the SEA Cluster to deliver high-quality legal services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and timely risk management.
• Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to anti-corruption legislation and all company policies and procedures, as well as local laws.
• Partner with the Regional Legal Team and senior business stakeholders to develop and implement training programs, guidance notes, and updates for commercial management and employees.
• Conduct training sessions and facilitate effective communication on legal matters with all employees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the Asia region, understanding business needs and strategic plans to provide proactive legal advice.
• Translate documents from the local language to English as needed.
Yêu cầu
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods (B2C) sectors. Experience in regulated environments is essential, and general management experience is a plus.
