Job Description
Overall responsibility for all QC tasks, actions and performance.
Daily check-in with your team to confirm their location and tasks for the day.
Management of the quality control software program, Qarma. Ensuring all required data is inputted before, during and after all inspections.
Working in conjunction with Interal Departments and plan and organise the QC schedule for your team.
Responsible for creating and managing all documents necessary for the smooth running of your QC team and for them to be able to perform their tasks correctlyand efficiently.
Responsibility for ensuring that all products are compliant with the relevant customer requirements and destination safety standards.
Ensure that all critical deadlines are met by proactively seeking out issues early in the production process. Allowing time for rectification without shipping delaysoccurring.
Review and assist in the development of new product samples from time to time.
Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure that standards and tolerances are set for new designs prior to first run production.
Research and understand manufacturing processes and materials including wood, metal, marble, leather/fabrics, concrete and natural materials
Attend Handover Meetings with PD and QA/QC Departments
Job Requirements
Minimum of 10 years previous experience in a similar role for a furniture company
Strong understanding of furniture construction methods, materials and common practices.
Language: English - Confident, good level of written and spoken
Excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to work and interact with others in a collaborative way.
Ability to work under pressure across a wide range of product types at the same time.
Ability to read and understand AutoCAD and technical drawings.
Computer literate (what’s app, email, word, excel, power point etc)
Persuasiveness and an ability to negotiate with vendors.
