Job Description
Production Output & Productivity: Achieve daily/weekly productivity targets in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Maintain optimum utilization of manpower, machines and resources
Production Planning & Schedule Adherence: Ensure MPS execution accuracy (plan vs. actual output). Minimize production variances and delays.
Manufacturing Cost Control: Monitor production and overhead costs (actual vs. budget). Implement cost reduction initiatives and improve cost per unit.
Quality & Scrap Performance: Achieve target scrap/reject rates. Reduce outgoing quality defects, rework and customer complaints.
On-Time Delivery (OTIF): Ensure 95–100% on-time delivery of finished goods to customers. Minimize schedule disruptions and bottlenecks.
Maintenance & Asset Reliability: Implement and track the Preventive Maintenance Program. Ensure machinery/equipment uptime and cost control (actual vs. budget).
Continuous Improvement (Lean/Kaizen): Lead process improvement projects to reduce waste, increase efficiency and optimize takt time. Track improvement KPIs (e.g., cycle time reduction, yield improvement).
Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct production risk assessments and implement mitigation measures. Ensure ISO 9001 compliance in production planning and execution.
Team Development & Leadership: Train, coach and mentor production supervisors and operators. Develop skills to strengthen succession readiness and accountability.
Reporting & KPI Monitoring: Provide regular reports on production performance, MPS adherence, scrap rate, OTIF and cost variances. Escalate deviations with corrective actions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum 5 - 8 years of progressive leadership experience in production within the manufacturing industry (mattress, furniture or related consumer goods preferred)
Proven expertise in production planning (MPS/MRP), process optimization and factory operations management
Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Solid understanding and practical implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 Management Systems.
Demonstrated success in cost reduction, productivity improvement and engineering projects (CAPEX, automation, new machinery installation)
Strong proficient in SAP (PP/MM modules) and advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, reporting & analysis)
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to coach and develop cross-functional teams
Results-drive mindset with focus on quality, efficiency, compliance and on-time delivery.
Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken)
