Job Description
Objectives
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with shipping lines, vendors, and partners by planning and executing the development of long-term, mutually beneficial strategic partnerships
• Analyze market needs and trends, make data-driven forecasts, and recommend strategic approaches to Sales Managers, collaborating to anticipate market changes and adjust sales strategies accordingly
• Understand the strengths of each vendor and strategic shipping line to recommend tailored solutions for customers, aligning with evolving business strategies
• Maximize profitability by securing competitive service costs while ensuring market competitiveness
• Ensure a stable, reliable supply chain to support continuous and efficient business operations
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth market research to evaluate pricing influencers such as costs, customer demand, and competitor behavior
• Develop pricing models and strategies to achieve the company’s financial and strategic objectives
• Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to market shifts and business performance outcomes
• Assess and select vendors based on criteria such as efficiency, quality, cost, and timeliness to meet company needs effectively
• Negotiate contract terms with strategic vendors to maximize value for the company
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with supply chain stability, including pricing and supply continuity risks
Core Duties
• Establish and manage high-level relationships with partners, shipping lines, and vendors across Vietnam and the region, ensuring vendor performance aligns with contractual terms and enhances company benefits
• Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Sales Managers to analyze the needs of potential and VIP clients, developing strategies, solutions, and service delivery methods to support the Sales team in closing deals
• Provide timely market insights to the Sales team, supporting the Head of Sales and Sales Managers in formulating optimal sales strategies for various time periods
• Lead, train, and guide Pricing team members on principles of pricing, pricing structures, and the strategic impact of pricing on the company’s business model
• Coordinate closely with departments such as Sales, SMD, and Accounting to ensure that pricing strategies are well-understood and consistently implemented
• Evaluate and monitor the success of pricing strategies, making necessary adjustments to enhance profitability
• Recommend sales prices for specific routes or special projects based on cost analysis, customer value, and market factors
Job Requirements
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing, vendor management, or supply chain management, ideally within the logistics or shipping industry
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in market research and data-driven forecasting
• Proven negotiation and contract management experience with strategic vendors
• Experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies aligned with financial and business goals
• Ability to build and maintain high-level partnerships with vendors and stakeholders
• Excellent leadership and team development skills, with experience in training team members on pricing principles
• Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities, with effective communication skills across departments
