Job Description

Role Summary
This position is ideal for a highly analytical engineering professional with a strong foundation in product reliability, testing methodologies, and manufacturing processes—particularly within the consumer electronics sector. The role involves hands-on project work, coordination with global teams, and proactive involvement in vendor development and failure analysis.

You’ll collaborate with both local and international partners, driving quality improvements throughout the product life cycle. The successful candidate must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of resolving complex technical challenges in a high-speed production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise in-field product performance and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to identify and resolve reliability concerns.
- Offer technical direction on reliability testing during lab qualification and manufacturing ramp-up phases.
- Work closely with global teams to build comprehensive reliability qualification strategies for upcoming product lines.
- Guide suppliers in establishing ongoing reliability monitoring systems for volume production.
- Lead root cause investigations and coordinate with cross-functional teams to close quality issues efficiently.
- Contribute to component sourcing and approval processes, ensuring alignment with product performance and reliability expectations.
- Apply expertise in materials science and failure mechanisms relevant to electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Leverage process capability insights to define key quality metrics and ensure performance targets are met.

Job Requirements

- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in hardware engineering, with at least 3 years focusing specifically on reliability.
- Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, Electromechanical, or related fields).
- Proven experience working with external suppliers to build and operate reliability test labs, particularly in mass production and sustaining phases.
- Solid understanding of environmental and mechanical testing standards (ASTM, IEEE, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across different engineering disciplines and geographic locations.
