Job Description
The Employee Relations Officer is tasked with fostering a positive and collaborative workplace environment by managing employee relations, ensuring adherence to labor laws, and promoting transparent communication between employees and management. This position demands a proactive and empathetic individual capable of addressing grievances, facilitating union and industrial relations, and contributing to a supportive organizational culture.
Employee Relations
• Serve as the primary contact for employees to address workplace concerns and resolve grievances promptly and professionally.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with employees across all levels to establish trust and cooperation.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints or disputes to ensure fair resolutions.
• Advise managers and employees on effective conflict resolution and appropriate workplace behaviors.
Labor Law Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
• Assist in preparing and managing labor contracts and collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
• Stay updated on changes to labor laws and advise management on necessary policy adaptations.
Union & Industrial Relations
• Work collaboratively with labor unions to sustain positive industrial relations.
• Support the negotiation and implementation of CBAs, addressing union-related concerns, and fostering mutual understanding between employees and management.
HR Administration & Reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation of employee relations cases, grievances, and resolutions.
• Compile and present regular reports on employee relations trends and activities to management.
• Contribute to other HR initiatives such as performance management and employee training programs.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in employee relations, labor management, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Vietnam’s labor laws and regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity and confidentiality.
• Experience in working with labor unions and collective bargaining processes is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
