Job Description
- Supporting the manager in developing internal and external capabilities such as bonding and embellishment while driving automation, innovation, and cost improvement initiatives for customers.
- Communicating effectively with customers to provide technical solutions that ensure fit approval, correct garment construction, and alignment with factory standards, SMV, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinating with the factory planning team to understand upcoming styles and prepare capability development plans to support production readiness.
- Conducting early style reviews and comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential issues and propose practical solutions to mitigate risks.
- Monitoring daily development activities and timelines while guiding product development technologists to ensure smooth transition from development to bulk production.
- Collaborating with value stream teams to resolve issues along the production critical path and communicate necessary information to relevant departments and subcontractors.
- Working closely with Merchandising, Production, IE/ISE, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to solve technical problems and meet product standards and deadlines.
- Ensuring product development aligns with fit quality, factory capabilities, resource allocation, and cost targets, while providing clear product specifications to the sample room and manufacturing teams.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Garment Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within garment manufacturing companies; strong knowledge of garment construction, especially for swimwear, is required.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility with good teamwork, leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
