Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Management:
- Supervise suppliers to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and reliable service for ILR, FLR, salesman samples, and bulk production.
- Oversee the end-to-end material supply chain to meet development and production requirements efficiently, focusing on cost optimization and product excellence.
- Strengthen collaboration among factories, suppliers, BU Development, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates and analytical reports on supplier performance and material data to BU Operation Manager, Asia Material Hub, and Brand Management.
- Work closely with the Asia Material Hub to identify and recommend potential local suppliers and materials that improve cost competitiveness and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with the Hub to explore and promote innovative and sustainable material solutions aligned with the company’s long-term strategy.
2. Project Implementation:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned projects under the direction of the BU Operation Manager, Asia Material Hub, or Deckers Management.
- Share key learnings, best practices, and outcomes with other Business Units to support cross-regional alignment.
3. Issue Resolution:
- Partner with BU Production and Development teams to resolve material-related quality, delivery, or performance issues between factories and suppliers.
- Lead problem-solving processes, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent future recurrence.
4. Representation & Additional Responsibilities:
- Represent the BU, Asia Material Hub, and/or Deckers Management in assigned material-related initiatives or special projects beyond the defined scope when required.
5. Asia Material Hub Support:
- Support designated material categories and assigned activities as outlined in the RACI chart.
- Ensure alignment with updated Hub processes, standards, and best practices to strengthen overall material management operations.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications in supply chain, materials management, or related fields are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of solid working experience, ideally in the FMCG industry; experience in footwear or lifestyle products is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of footwear materials and their applications.
- Hands-on experience in materials library management and system-based reporting tools.
- Strong sense of teamwork, business acumen, and ownership.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and build positive cross-functional relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Computer literate with the ability to adapt to various digital systems and tools.
